On February 22nd, National Agronomist Day was celebrated at the National Technological Institute of Mexico Campus Conkal. The event took place on its multipurpose court and the production and research unit.

The celebration began at 8 am and extended until 2 pm amidst workshops and activities to showcase the different areas of research and productive activities developed by agronomy professionals in their daily lives.

Additionally, students with entrepreneurial endeavors were given the opportunity to offer their products and services to promote a solidarity market within the institution.

The inauguration, led by institutional authorities, took place on the multipurpose court followed by a horseback ride organized by Ángel Piñeiro, in Mocochá-Conkal.

Subsequently, an Agricultural Route was implemented to train attendees in agronomic work. The workshop consisted of eight modules focused on protein banks, bioinputs for maize production, and the responsible disposal of sheep, bees, silage, and polycultures. Finally, a tour of the greenhouses was organized.

Furthermore, an agronomy seminar was held followed by recreational activities for the celebration by students of the master’s degree in Tropical Livestock Production, seasonal dishes with local ingredients, among others. The activity concluded with a softball match and a taco feast for the enjoyment of the attendees.
