Noviembre 2023.<\/strong> En una iniciativa conjunta entre la WK Kellogg Foundation y la Universidad Americana de Beirut (AUB), ha comenzado la segunda fase del proyecto \"Transformando la Educaci\u00f3n Supe rior\". Firmado con un compromiso de 1 mill\u00f3n de d\u00f3lares, este proyecto tiene como objetivo revolucionar la educaci\u00f3n en universidades agr\u00edcolas, promoviendo la formaci\u00f3n de l\u00edderes \u00e9ticos y proactivos para abordar los desaf\u00edos del siglo XXI.
La iniciativa surge en respuesta y en continuaci\u00f3n a los desaf\u00edos actuales que enfrenta la sociedad en el siglo XXI. Los sistemas educativos tradicionales a menudo descuidan el proceso de aprendizaje del estudiante y no abordan cuestiones clave como la relevancia de la educaci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola, el empleo y las tasas de matr\u00edcula. Adem\u00e1s, la falta de compromiso con las comunidades y la sociedad en general ha generado la necesidad de un enfoque m\u00e1s activo y participativo en la educaci\u00f3n superior.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Se destaca la importancia de formar graduados proactivos, dotados de habilidades blandas, que no solo posean aptitudes t\u00e9cnicas, sino tambi\u00e9n liderazgo \u00e9tico.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Fase II del proyecto tiene como meta principal lograr un cambio transformador en cuatro universidades piloto, adem\u00e1s de la propia AUB, todas con facultades de agricultura. La meta es preparar a los graduados universitarios como l\u00edderes \u00e9ticos, capaces de servir a la sociedad como solucionadores de problemas creativos e innovadores. Estos graduados se espera que contribuyan al bienestar de sus comunidades y pa\u00edses, impactando positivamente en el medio ambiente, promoviendo la paz y la comprensi\u00f3n, as\u00ed como respetando la diversidad.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

El objetivo es reformar los planes de estudio y la pedagog\u00eda para que las universidades transformen sus modelos educativos y culturas institucionales, convirti\u00e9ndose en centros de aprendizaje inclusivos e integrados para estudiantes, profesores y la comunidad en general.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNuestro objetivo es evaluar el impacto de la transformaci\u00f3n universitaria en las cuatro universidades piloto, incluida la evaluaci\u00f3n del cambio de cultura entre los estudiantes y profesores de las universidades, y los impactos en los graduados y las comunidades rurales debido a la transformaci\u00f3n del sistema educativo. modelos de estas universidades\", afirma Jim Frech, director del proyecto.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
