La granja AGEDS 450 es un terreno de 253ha perteneciente a la Universidad Estatal de Iowa, que sobresale como uno de los modelos exitosos de transformaci\u00f3n de educaci\u00f3n superior con el objetivo de funcionar como un laboratorio de gesti\u00f3n agr\u00edcola gestionado por estudiantes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Con una historia que data de 1943, el curso Manejo y operaci\u00f3n de la finca ha evolucionado a tendencias modernas de educaci\u00f3n experiencial, aplicando desde el 2015 el m\u00e9todo Team\u2010Based Learning o TBL, haciendo \u00e9nfasis en el trabajo en equipo, planificaci\u00f3n, resoluci\u00f3n de problemas, comunicaci\u00f3n, pensamiento cr\u00edtico, toma de decisiones e implementaci\u00f3n estas en la clase.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Actualmente, la finca AGEDS 450 es una operaci\u00f3n agr\u00edcola 100% administrada por estudiantes que consiste en producci\u00f3n de ma\u00edz, soja y cerdos. La clase est\u00e1 separada en seis comit\u00e9s que abarcan todo el manejo de la finca.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Durante el semestre los estudiantes deben identificar una actividad de cuatro horas relacionada con la administraci\u00f3n y las operaciones de la finca. Una vez que se identifica su actividad, deben planificarla, completarla f\u00edsicamente y, finalmente, reflexionar sobre su experiencia. Adem\u00e1s, se deben cumplir objetivos espec\u00edficos establecidos en legislaciones estatales por entes como el Servicio de Conservaci\u00f3n de Recursos Naturales y el Servicio de Informes de Cultivos y Ganado de Iowa, para garantizar que tanto los cultivos como la producci\u00f3n animal se realizan bajo est\u00e1ndares competitivos.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
