La experiencia universitaria es fundamental en el proceso formativo de un joven. Con el objetivo de crear experiencias intencionales que mejoren la destreza acad\u00e9mica de sus estudiantes, la Universidad de Purdue (West Lafayette, Indiana, EE.UU.) cre\u00f3 Experiencias de Transformaci\u00f3n de la Facultad de Agricultura o \"CATE\" -por sus siglas en ingl\u00e9s-.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Estas incluyen actividades co-curriculares o pr\u00e1cticas educativas de alto impacto, basadas en la investigaci\u00f3n del Dr. Corey Seemiller: comunicaci\u00f3n, conciencia y desarrollo intrapersonal, habilidades interpersonales y conocimiento intercultural y maneras de pensar; cuyo resultado apunta a un estudiante capaz de determinar su lugar en el entorno, que aproveche al m\u00e1ximo su potencial, con capacidades humanitarias y lo suficientemente inteligente y sensible para la resoluci\u00f3n de conflictos. Estas caracter\u00edsticas se alinean a la perfecci\u00f3n con los Cinco Elementos del \u00c9xito planteados por Transforming Higher Education.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

CATE establece que se espera que todos los estudiantes de pregrado de la Facultad de Agricultura participen en al menos una experiencia de transformaci\u00f3n significativa durante su carrera acad\u00e9mica, las cuales abarcan 15 categor\u00edas que van desde estudiar en el extranjero y compromiso internacional, hasta iniciativa de liderazgo y desarrollo profesional, investigaci\u00f3n de pregrado, entre otras.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
