El Instituto Tecnol\u00f3gico Superior de Calkin\u00ed est\u00e1 ubicado en la zona de influencia ind\u00edgena maya en el estado de Campeche, M\u00e9xico. Cuenta con 19 a\u00f1os de experiencia en la formaci\u00f3n de profesionales, atendiendo a una poblaci\u00f3n anual aproximada de 1500 estudiantes. Actualmente ofrece nueve programas acad\u00e9micos, incluida la Ingenier\u00eda en Innovaci\u00f3n Agr\u00edcola Sostenible (IIAS).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Alrededor del 85% de los estudiantes del IIAS provienen de comunidades rurales, y algunos de ellos son incluso los primeros en sus familias en asistir a la universidad.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

La adopci\u00f3n de los principios del proyecto Transformando la Educaci\u00f3n Superior en el modelo educativo del programa de Innovaci\u00f3n Agr\u00edcola Sostenible ha tenido importantes resultados luego de un a\u00f1o de implementaci\u00f3n. Estos se pueden dividir en cuatro \u00e1reas: institucional, educativa, estudiantil y comunitaria.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

La matr\u00edcula de nuevos alumnos en el IIAS ha oscilado entre 20 y 22 alumnos por ciclo desde su inicio, sin embargo, el 21 de septiembre de 2020, cuando comenz\u00f3 el nuevo curso acad\u00e9mico, se produjo un notable incremento del 40% en la matr\u00edcula de alumnos de primer ingreso. Esto es realmente importante considerando que IIAS ahora est\u00e1 siendo considerado como la primera opci\u00f3n de estudios por estos estudiantes.<\/p>

El \u00e9xito del modelo de Transformando la Educaci\u00f3n Superior aplicado en el IIAS ha sido tal que otros programas educativos del instituto se han interesado en replicarlo, integrando paulatinamente componentes clave impulsados por el proyecto.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Se ha observado que la carga de trabajo del docente ha disminuido, ya que preparar las lecciones con anticipaci\u00f3n permite una interacci\u00f3n m\u00e1s fluida entre el docente y el alumno y ofrece al estudiante una forma m\u00e1s amigable de realizar el curso. Por otro lado, el trabajo de campo y el trabajo comunitario han permitido abordar situaciones reales y espec\u00edficas potenciando el aprendizaje significativo de los estudiantes.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Trabajar con las comunidades y sus familias brind\u00f3 a los estudiantes la oportunidad de aplicar una combinaci\u00f3n de los conocimientos te\u00f3ricos adquiridos en la universidad a problemas del mundo real y complementarlos con conocimientos y t\u00e9cnicas ancestrales aprendidas de la comunidad, tal como se utilizan y transmiten de generaci\u00f3n en generaci\u00f3n, lo que permiti\u00f3 la recuperaci\u00f3n. y fortalecimiento de los conocimientos tradicionales que denotan como un empoderamiento de su cultura.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Cada uno de estos logros acerca a los estudiantes al objetivo de mejorar la sostenibilidad en el desarrollo del bienestar social, econ\u00f3mico y ambiental de las comunidades del \u00e1rea de influencia de la Pen\u00ednsula de Yucat\u00e1n. Por ejemplo, la promoci\u00f3n de la autoproducci\u00f3n y el autoconsumo mediante t\u00e9cnicas agroecol\u00f3gicas y la producci\u00f3n de su propio vermicompost org\u00e1nico, junto con el manejo y cuidado de sus huertos pueden mejorar las condiciones de salud de las poblaciones locales.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
