En conmemoraci\u00f3n del D\u00eda Mundial del Reciclaje, el 17 de mayo, queremos compartir la historia de Nel-Ange ST CYR, una estudiante de agronom\u00eda de una de nuestras universidades piloto del proyecto de transformaci\u00f3n superior, la Universidad Quisqueya en Hait\u00ed. Ella, a sus 24 a\u00f1os, est\u00e1 impactando positivamente el medioambiente con su iniciativa VALPLAST.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El proyecto consiste en la recolecci\u00f3n de desechos pl\u00e1sticos en la calle y transformarlos en bloques de construcci\u00f3n para calles, aceras, bulevares, parqueos, entre otros.<\/p>

\u201cLa iniciativa de reciclaje se instala en una de las zonas m\u00e1s desfavorecidas del pa\u00eds, Cit\u00e9 Soleil. Cit\u00e9 Soleil es una comunidad haitiana normal, aunque pobre, si caminas por sus inmaculadas calles y paseos durante el d\u00eda, ver\u00e1s mucha gente amable y ni\u00f1os sonrientes jugando. Pero tambi\u00e9n ver\u00e1s la obstrucci\u00f3n de los canales de drenaje de Port-au-Prince con desechos de las partes m\u00e1s altas de la ciudad\u201d, <\/em>menciona la creadora en uno de sus materiales promocionales.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Valplast ha reciclado m\u00e1s de 1000 kg de residuos pl\u00e1sticos en dos ciudades diferentes de Hait\u00ed, adem\u00e1s de que genera empleo y educa a los j\u00f3venes sobre la importancia del reciclaje y la gesti\u00f3n de los residuos.<\/p>

Desde el proyecto Transformando la Educaci\u00f3n Superior, felicitamos a Nel-Ange y a todas las personas que trabajan en este proyecto por valorizar residuos de forma que generen beneficios a la comunidad, tanto sociales como ambientales.<\/p>
